My day started around 4:45 or so this morning - watching the sun come up without a cloud in the sky. Something unusual as of late. I headed up to Craig for another week on the MO, enjoying the drive and the sights. There was a dense fog on the ground and along the river bottoms heading out this morning. Didnt' really get any good photos but it was really nice just the same. I like watching the sun come up over the Bridgers!
So, got up here and we fished Dam - Craig today with pretty good success. The water seemed more down than it really is and I think fish were maybe spooking a little from the boat around mid-day. We stuck with it and worked it out, picking up fish here and there before committing to the dirty side of the river and getting 'em out of the worm runs. All in all it ended up being a very good day, ended up finding some rain towards the evening.
I really feel the need to go off on something but there just isn't really anything to complain about right now. I've had a great run up here the last month with a ton of great folks - both on the stick and as people too. It's pretty cool watching people light up when one of these fish up here go for a run and it's even cooler when the get it to the net. Life is good.

What Can I Say?
Great day today with the good chap from the UK as we opted for a play date instead of a work day on account of absolute crap weather. Good news is that the rest of the week is supposed to be pleasant enough and I'm heading up to the Mo in the morning through Saturday. Things did not look so good as we headed up over the Bozeman Pass to Ennis.
So, today we headed for the Upper Madison as I was more curious about the water conditions than anything. The lower was still on the brown side of dirty but the upper was more green than brown, but high. I was surprised at the color in Ennis - it looked Zonkerific with a couple feet of vis and green.
We ended up by Pine Butte and had a good enough day on worms and micro mayflies for a few hours out on the stream. Had the water to ourselves and just focused on soft seams at the bottoms of islands and found some fish in just about every one of them. The water was much better than I had expected...kind of wish I had the boat as I would think that zonkers and worms along the banks has got to be pretty good right now up there.

Rain
Forecast for crap tomorrow so we rescheduled that trip for next week so I'm not going back to the MO now until Tuesday am when the weather looks to be improving. So I think we may give the upper a little bit of a shakedown tomorrow in the rain and snow.

Saturday May 28
Spent a few hour sin the shop this morning trying to get caught up on some things. We've been getting some really big orders in the last couple of weeks and there's always a tendency to want to get more stuff in anticipation of the season. Problem is that the season is really a month or so away yet.
Watch the news or read the paper and floods are the main topic right now. Look at the mountains and there's more snow now than there was in January or February throughout most of last decade. So patience is the name of the game right now, but we still have a lot of new stuff. The guys in the shop have been making my life in Craig pretty worry free though, so there isn't too much that I have to take care of when I am back in town.
We're waiting for the tattoo dude to get his stuff out of the space next door so that we can start doing some work in there, get some new signage, add a fence to the front and get the backside of the building cleared out of Pit Bull crap. Should happen this week and hopefully will have some storage and office space by next week,
I did fish a little today though. Took a drive out the the lower to check out visibility and admire some water other than the Craig ditch for a change. The lower is muddy with about a foot, maybe less of visibility. I would liken it to a very weak mixture of Nestle Quick with a regular sized serving of Metamucil. So...dirty but not as dirty as Cherry Creek. I fished from the bank in a couple of spots with a Dead Drift Crayfish and a worm and picked up a couple small fish while Christine and Matty stood in my backcast so I thought I did pretty well for an hour or so of casting.
YNP opened today too.

Another Week Comes to an End
Just got back home to Bozeman from another week up on the Mo. Had a good fishing a couple of days and outstanding fishing a few of the days. Head back up there on Monday morning for another week.
We've got some major flooding and flood potential going on around the state which has me a little spooked and feeling for our downstream neighbors. Saw a picture of Roundup in the paper this evening and it's pretty hard to imagine the Musselshell with that much water.
As a result of some of the flood potential, dam releases out of Holter have been dropped a little over the last day . It's still raging high but fish always seem to eat better on a drop rather than a rise and that's certainly been the case the last 2 days up there.
I've fell in love with the Juju Baetis in purple this year as my go to little bug and it's really been my best fly the last few weeks. I know a lot of guides are sticking wire worms and firebeads and getting them just fine and I go back and for the depending on the water we're fishing, but that little bug has been hot.
Pulled a red Gamakatsu hook with a glass bead about 8 inches up from it out of a fish today. I can't believe that I'm saying it but I think that is dirtier than even I could fish. If you're going to use the glass beads, make sure they are only an inch or so above the fly so that the fish end up getting hooked or snagged in the mouth...not on their sides, belly, or eyes.

Annihilation
Don't know what was different about today but something was and the fish liked it. The weather was pretty much crap with gusts in the 30's I would guess. Rained and got sunny and was busy with boats but the fish ate all day in every type of water on just about every drift, and we didn't really row around a bunch. Purple Juju Baetis for me but I know other guys were getting 'em good on worms and firebeads too so I guess they were just hungry today,
Went back out for a late float with the guys here at Cross Currents in Craig and they were still eating. Hopefully the wind settles and they're still hungry because it was simply on today.
One more day and the back to Bozone for the weekend, hopefully some family time and work time too. Sounds like the shop has been uber-busy with the free reel promo winding down and trying to point folks out to fishable water. Our fly fishing 101 class is full up this weekend too. So thing see to be moving right along as the season fast approaches

Just wrapped up a few days with a great group of guys from Texas. Paul and I worked it over pretty well and had some pretty solid fishing each day. Nothing out of the world, but nothing terrible either. Just getting some hungry fish here and there.
Have two more days up here this week, back up Monday - next Saturday and things chill out again for a few days then back up here and then going to Alaska for a week and then back at it through September. I really like my job a lot this time of year...wonder how I'll feel around Columbus Day?
Yesterday was miserable and wet but today was much nicer and I rocked the JB love hat just to ward off any evil residual mojo that might be lingering in the hammer. I got some double takes for sure but no one tried to pick a fight with me either. Craig is that kind of place, easy to get into a fight that is. A bunch of guides and drunks lingering around...its kind of like No Exit by Sartre...the town that is. I guess it's not that bad, I'm just jaded by the good life of 4-corners.

Saturation
Just wrapped up another lovely day on the the MO. Ok maybe it kind of sucked. We got some fish but mostly just sat in the boat and shivered our asses off. It rained from start to finish and during the nap in between. The kind of rain that just seems to soak through everything eventually. I was wondering to myself if it was worth it and I guess I ended up deciding it was. The tug is the the drug.

Back up to Craig this morning at around 5:00 am. Must have made coffee last night in an Ambien inspired kitchen trip as I was a pleasantly surprised this morning with the warm brew! Which, when coupled with the double order of hashbrowns and sausage biscuits from MCD's..made for the perfect start to a great day!
After messing around for an hour or so here in Craig, we finally manged to get the show on the road and ended up at the Dam after driving down lower to scope out the water conditions. The Dearborn has come way up and messed the lower river up pretty badly. So, it looked good down to Mid, but was pretty chunky from there on down.
Fished well enough today but was a little busier than I would have liked to have seen. Found a couple honey holes and worked them well and ended up making a good day out of it. Great guys and great weather today.
Plus...I got one super badass new anchor today too!

Life Is Good
Enjoying the weekend back in Bozeman with my wife and kids although it seems like all I've been doing the whole day is trying to get this kind of crap done so that I can hang out with them!
The store is getting filled up with new inventory pretty much everyday and it looks different to me every time I go in there (which has not been often the last month). We just got a huge fly box order, t-shirts, wading boots, waders, rods, reels, and new fly lines too. Should be pretty well set by end of June in terms of having our complete lineup in stock for the season.
If you didn't know, the Tattoo shop next door is officially gone! Great for us in that we are getting more space, more parking, and a much better ambiance overall. We'll miss playing fetch with the Pit Bulls, checking out strippers, and will no longer duck down when some dude pulls up in a low rider and runs in next door screaming about whatever! It was great entertainment but it's time to get serious now. The irony is that I've decided to get a tattoo since they left!
Have a couple more weeks of bookings up on the Missouri to keep me away from the shop and out of everyone's way. Thanks to everyone that has fished with me this year up there and I hope everyone felt like it was "as advertised." I could get really sappy here and tell you all that I love you but you already know I do! Thank you for trusting me/us with your hard earned dollars to try to make for a productive and enjoyable fly fishing trip.

Week's End On the MO
Just arrived home for a quick weekend refresh and recharge and then back to Craig next Monday morning. Flows came up a bit more today and are hopefully going to stabilize for awhile. It's finally time for longer leaders and more weight as the flows are now at 15000 cfs...almost optimal.
Had a great week with great guests and fishing that varied from as good as it gets somedays to ok on the others. Looking forward to the next few weeks of fishing high water.
So, what did I learn this week? I learned that bald men can wear visor wigs and still look pretty cool. Painter caps are supposedly the next big thing. I get panicky when I use my last knight krawler. Trout eggs taste like tangerines. I need a new anchor. I found 2 new high water hammer spots. Fly fishing is a lifetime sport. I feel old sometimes. I shouldn't complain about living in Montana. I'm probably not a very good wrestler. Rick is alright. Canadians are alright. Never drop too low in a row around hole when you can't see who's coming. The groove in my left incisor is about the size of 3x now. A single pack tin of AB spit shot lasts me a week. Some people don't mind hooking anchor ropes and kicking out boat plugs while missing...no...losing fish. Missouri River Rainbows average 17-18" and I'm really good at catching the 1% of the population of hatchery fish that come over the Holter Dam.
Today on the MO
Things kept coming up yesterday and stabilized around 14,700 in the late afternoon. We mixed it up and did a short float in the morning down below Craig and then went up to the dam in the evening. Overall the fish were still eating pretty well, but it was a bit slower than it has been this week. Rising water always seems to mix it up but never does really kill it like on some rivers.
Rain today with overcast conditions so it should be a good bite throughout the day. Flows are still stable and the water is clear for the most part. We'll see if the rain from last night does anything to the color.
Heading home tonight, back up here Monday fro next week as well. Might do the Dearborn one day next week if everything comes together. All the little muddy bubbles open on Saturday and it looks like I won't be standing in the pump house hole on the Beaverhead once again this year.

Another Good day on the MO
Dam flows came up again today after a week or so of stable flows. The Mo has been clearing up more and more the last few days and was probably sort of more clear looking in a way than just a couple of days ago. Weather was great, anglers great, hell...even fishing with Rick was great. One of those few days that I actually have nothing to complain about! Really haven't had too much to complain about in awhile though, I guess. Good fishing and company.
Wire worms and rubber worms, a little split shot, manageable leaders, and the ability to get a decent drift was all we needed today. I did learn that I must catch a lot of 24 inch fish as 18+6 is not 22. I was reminded that I'm really glad I'm not a fish that likes to eat wire worms. 2X and 3X is a lot better than 4 and 5. The Missouri fish tend to really be mostly 17-18" and fight really well. 13000cfs is a lot of water but not so much as 18000. My RO Deville is super easy to row. My new net (Brodin Excalibur) is better than my old one but I have no idea how big the net opening is so we've been getting mostly 23-26 inch fish in my best approximation. Cutthroat trout are rare in the MO.

Mo Update Again
Back up here on the mo and didn't have internet last night or this morning. Even though I have nothing truly important going on that demands my immediate attention, I still was freaking out that that I couldn't blog, update the fishing reports, and facebook...pathetic.
Anyway, yesterday was a tougher than I would have though but it was pretty windy which made it hard to get the drift just right in some places. We fished down to Pelican yesterday and the water was 2-3 feet of visibility. Ended up being just fine, I just thought we should have hooked more.
Came back up to the dam today and it was really good...and busy too. Fish were eating that purple juju baeits very well in the clean water and worms on the dirty side. Steady bite all day with lots of typical Mo fish and a few bigger than normal.
Have had nothing but great folks up here with me this year and I have to think that everyone has had a taste of the some of the better or best trout fishing that they've ever had. I know I've been enjoying the hell out of it so far this year.

Thoughs about Whats Next
Great day chilling around town with my family, getting all my gear sorted, the raft put together, new rod rack loaded, a trip to Wal Mart (now that I am boycotting Costco). Too windy to even think about fishing on my day off, though I was hoping to fish that bamboo rod this weekend.
Head back up to the Mo either tomorrow night or Monday am and have some great folks once again this week. Hope the weather cooperates and the power company holds back some water for awhile. The bite is right for the time so join us for a really unique Montana adventure during high water n the Missouri,
Having the day off, I have been reminded of those things every guide knows about but doesn't really embrace until it;s time to work. Things like how do I get my guide stickers to stick to the boat without being permanently attached? Why issue stickers and then tell the licnessees that they cant permanently stick them to a boat? What does that extra $100 commercial use fee really do? Will the runoff ever start? Why do my fingers and nails crack everyday...why does it have to hurt? Barbed hooks make for easy hook removal but lost fish and the occassional sore nose. Dr. Slick split shot clamps rock, don't leave home without them

Missouri River Fishing Week 2 Roundup
The Mo fished really well for me on the 12th and 13th. I think that having the flows stabilize a bit got the fish feeling comfortable and settled into the typical high water holding patterns. Firebead tan sowbug with a purple Juju Beatis was the trig and most of the fish the last 2 days were on the purple thing.
Had a great run with good folks the so far this May and looking forward to all to come. I get pretty stressed out when that water comes up, knowing people have spent a lot of money and time to make it up here this time of year. So far, I think everyone has been impressed with the quality of fish and numbers so I hope it continues. I think the biggest fish we've gotten so far was a 21" bow last Sunday, but I would guess it's only going to get better as the fish were eating very well the last few days.
Good to be home for a couple of days and see my family.
This is sad...I think I'm going to try to sneak out tomorrow evening and see if I can find some fish eating caddis on the lower Madison. Been really wanting to try the new Bamboo out and this might be the best chance.
I really like to fish for trout, don't know why but it just never gets old. Like the people, the water, the bugs, the surroundings, the tug and watching the tug. I guess I've been fishing for most of my life now and it is just what I do. I really don't care about the periphery of the scene, I just like to fish, I'm one of the lucky ones that has a wife that supports me, parents that taught me right, and a bit of a twisted head that is perhaps deeper than it should be yet seems to find esoteric beauty in the simple things like wire worms and tin shot. Everyone has their own thing, I'm glad that my thing is just being myself and loving to do what I do whether with my family, employees, friends, or clients - I am who I am and that's alright with me.

Yesterday
The flows came up throughout most of the day up here on the Missouri which made for ever changing conditions. We had an ok morning and slower afternoon. One of the tougher days up here in awhile , but we still ended up with a dozen or so good fish in the boat and another 8 or so on for awhile. Between the rising water and bright sunny skies it's hard to say just what it was but I have a feeling it will be back to good by today.
Prickly Pear is slowing down and the main river is getting bigger so the color should be less and less of an issue, I expect it to be ok by this afternoon so we'll see. The Dearborn is dirty too and things look to be pretty well blended in by Mid-Canon - by blended I mean evenly dirty not dissipated.
Saw a snow goose that looked like it was adopted by a pair of Canada Geese yesterday.

Muddy Bubbles
I guess I shouldn't have been surprised but I was nevertheless. One would thing that 10000 cfs of clean water would'nt be too impacted by 700 cfs of muddy water. I was wrong to a point but worked out a nice workaround for the day. After a day and a half of rain, the local tribs up here on the Mo were all puking brown goo this morning and generally making a mess of the water. There was good water down to California Island but after that the clarity diminished quickly and the left side of the river was shot all the way down I imagine to the Dearborn but definitely to Stickney. Good new is that the tribs are all dropping again and they are releasing more water out of the Dam so things will settle back down quickly. This first big push of water should have cleared out all the loose trees and debris and got the majority of the rainbows back in the main channel. So, today was more surprises than anything as we ended up having some great weather and great fishing too. Not as good as 2 days ago, but better than yesterday. We'll see what happens tonight and tomorrow and work our plan out based on what shakes out.
Our plan today was to get on a WC well before anyone else, put the wood to fish in a few places and then move on down, fishing here and there to Stickney. We ended up racking em up in a few spots and then headed to the barn for a mid-day siesta. Headed back out late afternoon for a few more hours and another 10 fish or so in the net Dead Gray Gay Rays and Hotbead Tan Sowbugs were the mainstays with an occasional and persistent worm appearance throughout the day as well.

05/10 - MO
It rained yesterday like I haven't seen it rain since last year up here in Craig. All day long, constant rain. We actually took a 2 hour break mid-day at the rental house where my guests are staying. It 'twas a welcome relief as I think all 3 of us were drenched and cold all the way through.
Flows cam up about 1000 cfs from Holter yesterday so we had a period of dodging trees and floating crap mid-day - but fishing was good despite the weather and increasing flows. The weather looks nicer this morning so we"ll see what comes of the day. Either way, the fish will be hungry today.

Mo Update
Today was a vindication of sorts for the tough day on the stone last Friday. Up here on the Missouri, the fish were eating well all day today and the wind was down as well. Rain and drizzle moved in later morning but never got to be too miserable so we stuck with it as long as we had a good bite going.
The Dearborn came up a bit and the river left was dirty for maybe a 1/2 mile or so but not much of a factor when you take a couple hundred cfs against 8100. Prickly Pear was dirty and high today, but same thing as the Dearborn in that the dirty water isn't much of an issue with so much clean water coming through the dam.
We fished Mtn Palace to Pelican today and nymphed all day with worms and pink flies. There was a blanket hatch of midges, BWO's and a few March Browns as well, but very few consistent risers. They were eating the nymphs well so everyone was happy. Still haven't seen anything huge, got a spawner today that as beat up but went a titch over 20". The average fish so far has been in that 17-18" range with a few dinkers thrown in just to keep it entertaining.
Happy Mother's Day!

I needed a day to reassess my life purpose and overall motivations in the realm of the fly angler after the whopping I took yesterday on the Yellowstone. As the sun rose over the Bridgers this morning, I sat and wondered what happened to all the whitefish? Ah hell, it's just fishing...sometimes it sucks!
Heading back to the Mo in the morning and will be up there all week. I like fish that eat wire worms and God knows I need to go find some to restore my faith in this whole wild trout fishery thing!

shmaddis caddis
Fished in Paradise Valley yesterday with hopes of finding some rising fish - actually any fish would have done just fine. Slow day to say the least. I had good reports from town the day before but Carters was already a circus when we arrived so we opted out of that madness. Conditions were right for a good BWO and March Brown hatch but they didn't show- saw just a few bugs all day. Bizzaro Caddis Hatch world is where I live.
Oh well, had some good chaps with me for the and we tried like hell to get some fish but they were few. We nymphed with everything in the box, even stripped some streamers for abit, but the fish were not eating where we were. Even the odd rise would have been enough for me to try fishing a big parachute or dry.
It should be an honest to God junk show over there this weekend as everyone with a boat or raft or canoe or kayak or pontoon or dingy will most likely head to the river with saucer like eyes and wild expectations of gagging on caddis. May it bring us all an abundance of rising fish and joy once again!
As for me, I'm going back to the MO to fish wire worms - something I know how to do!

Today
Back in Bozeman tonight, guiding over on the Yellowstone tomorrow in search of Caddis or March Browns and some clean water.
Fished up around Craig today. Morning was good, afternoon slow with some sporadic flurries of goodness mixed in. Overall, a good way to start the month of the Mo and looking forward to hitting it hard over the next few weeks. The fish seem to be plentiful with a great average size of 16-18" and are hungry so things are looking good. Lots of baby geese out already.

Another MO
The wind settled down today and the weather was pretty pleasant overall. Little gusty here and there, but not too bad. The water came up a little bit yesterday and is now around 8100 cfs which is higher than normal but still manageable without anything crazy in terms of weight and flies.
We fished through the canyon today and did well until early afternoon. Mostly worm pattens and pink sowbugs today and worked the slower water pretty hard around drop offs and soft corners. The river is fishing well and I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time up here over the next few weeks.

MO Windy
Had a good bite today up here on the Missouri, but it was pretty windy which made it hard to really get everything right in terms of weight and bugs. But, we ended up finding plenty of fish that were eating well enough. Mostly worms and some fish on the pinkies and what not - actually got pretty solid action on a purple Juju Baetis (think that's what its called).
Tons of midges on the water all day and the BWO's wanted to come off pretty heavy this afternoon but the wind was 30+ so they weren't on the water very long. The Dearborn was clear this am and had a little bit of that milky green color to it by the end of the day. Stickney was dirty this morning and afternoon but the main river is in great shape for the time being. FWP is shocking again tonight from WC to Craig.

It's been a busy couple of weeks of playing for me but the work is about to start - which is a good thing for me.
Headed up to the Missouri this afternoon and will be guiding up here quite a bit over the next month. This is always one of my favorite times of year up here as the fish are hungry, there's hardly anyone around, and the river is weed free. Looking forward to the days ahead.
Did a little recon this afternoon just to make sure that the fish will still eat pink things and worms - which they are. The water is around 7300 cfs which is high for this time of year but just about perfect fro boat fishing. FWP is shocking from Wolf Creek the Craig the next couple of nights, so I think I'll be heading down a little lower.
But we had a good enough bite tonight and fish were where they should be eating what the should. Saw some caddis around 8:30 which kind of blew me away. Lots of midges, BWO, and eggs.

Belize Summary
Ok, finally made it home to some nice spring like conditions here in SW Montana. Guess it's been playing like winter while I was away - hard to believe the Mother's Day Caddis hatch should get going anyday now.
Had a great time in Belize at Turneffe Flats over the past week. I tried to blog a few updates but the internet there was slow and I couldn't figure how to get my images uploaded for the blog. So, here's a quick recap with a few pics.
The trip started off perfect as I woke early with the anticipation of grabbing some sunrise photos looking out across the reef in front of the lodge. Problem was that I ran into tailing Bonefish about 20 paces from the porch of our cottage. So, I swapped the camera for the rod and landed my first Belize Bone right about 5:45 the first morning. To make it even sweeter, I got it on a Clouser Crayfish that I fish all the time right here on the Lower Madison.
The first day was mostly spent walking some flats and casting to Bonefish. The surprise to me was that most of the fish we were fishing to were closer to 3-4 pounds rather than the 1.5 -2 I was expecting. The turtle grass was something new for me and took a little while to get used to (don't know that I ever really did to be honest) - mostly it requires a different presentation and retrieve than I would normally use on a sandy or "clean" mud bottom. Accurate casts with very short strips was the key.
Pretty much chased Permit the rest of the 5 days I had. I had only done a little Permit fishing before this trip so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. On my only other experience of about 1/2 a day, I had well over a dozen shots and lost one. After 5 days of standing up in front of the boat my opinion of Permit fishing is quite different. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and glad as hell that I landed one. I lost another that I hooked and had 2 eat my fly but never felt the strike. Three of the days consisted of just a couple shots at a couple of fish seen over 6-8 hours out. We saw lots of fish on the flats only one of the days, and we only fished a few hours the day that I landed the one Permit. I decided to quit while ahead that day. You can read back over the last week or so to see some more insight into how I felt at the time!
My guide was named Robert "Dubs" Young and was as good as it gets in my book. Very hard working, persistent, patient, polite, professional, and kept up my spirits during those periods of staring out into nothingness for hours on end some days. I was constantly changing my flies throughout the day - usually before I even cast the one I had on in front of a fish - which he found odd. I explained that I had to mix it up until I found some mojo and then he agreed it probably wasn't such a bad idea.
A few hours into the second day of looking for Pepe, I sat down on the bow and put my head down while he poled away scanning the approaching water. He asked what the hell was I doing and I told him I had to think for a minute - I was considering how badly I really wanted to catch a Permit and if maybe it was time to go catch a bone. He chastised me briefly, told me that I had to be ready as Pepe could show any second - you never know so you just have to look, be ready, and if he's hungry...he'll eat. So I switched flies one more time (a pattern he said would never work) and a small group of feeding fish showed themselves, gave me a few casts and I finally landed a Permit. The elation was really overwhelming for both of us as we had been looking hard for nearly a day and a half without even getting a shot at a fish to that point. I learned a lot from that experience but really came to appreciate how hard he was working to get me a fish. I will hand it to him for keeping me motivated and not letting me give up. I was happy to stand up there the rest of the trip and look into nothingness all day.
The lodge is great - nice rooms with AC and ocean views. Meals were all excellent. The people are what make these places work or not and I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I met. I was able to go out and catch a Bonefish or tow every morning in flip flops and a cup of coffee plus got several shots at Permit in the afternoons not 100 yards from the cottage.
My wife SCUBA dove everyday and had a great time as well. The diversity of the dive areas and the other guests diving that week all really made it a great trip for her as well. There are only a few places that have both fishing and diving and I can't really imagine how it could be any better than T Flats. We will definitely go back

Heading Home
The week in Belize was terrific. Ended up seeing no pepe the last day and got a few bones. In addition to teh fishing, it was great to be kid free for a week with Christine. I'll summarize the trip later with some pics.
We arrived in Dallas last night and head back to MT in a few hours. Just enough time to melt the snow in my boat, get all my junk together and head for the MO tomorrow afternoon. Will be guiding pretty much through early June at this stage. Plan is to be on Mo M-F and come home to the fam on the weekends,
