It was much warmer today on the Missouri, still some wind but not as bad as a few days ago. Much more crowded today as well, funny how some nice weather will do that. All in all, it was a good day with good dudes and happy fish throughout most of the day.
The blanket bug hatch was not out today per the sun, but still managed to get some out of skinny water under a palsa towards the end of the day, which is always fun if you have not tried it. Just something different to try when some fish are rising, but not enough to work over. I like to drop a single tungsten pt about 1-2 feet below a palsa and fish it tight to the bank when I start seeing a few fish feeding, works great during a hatch too, but those times are more for fishing the dries. I\'ve been seeing a few more March Browns everyday so I think the first calm cloudy day we have will be pretty epic on dries, just don\'t know when that day will be! Maybe tomorrow?
