Back from Mexico late last night...no Permit were hooked or almost hooked. Enough were cast at well enough to make me question my choice in profession, to some degree. A couple shots were blown by myself in ways that also have caused me to question my profession as well. Still, had a really fun trip, saw some fish, caught some - ok a few - that were not on the slam list.
Super grateful to my wife for letting me get away for a few days of eating, soaking in the sun, and laughing my ass off in a boat with Rainman and a couple of Mexicans. I used to go crazy with the rejection of a Permit...the difference must be that now I expect it which makes it easier.
