Slow Mo

With grand expectations of fish on the streamer bite or eating skittering bugs of one sort or another, I headed north to the Mo just before the sun crested the Bridgers. The skies showed promise in the form of clouds and intermittent drizzle. I was supposed to meet up with a couple friends in Craig for the day at around 9 am. Once I made to Helena the clouds were gone and the flags were flying tight in the wind. So I sent a text that I'd be late and opted for an oil change at Wal-Mart instead of making a mad dash for the Mo.

Needless to say, my seemingly never ending run of crap fishing continued today. I did manage to find a few fish on nymphs, but the streamer bite was sparse and the heads a poppin' were non-existent. But alas, it was a good day on the water with some laughs and good humor all around. Got to eat some BBQ and chew the fat with some good folks at the end of the day and made it home safe and sound. The tide will turn soon I keep telling myself
