Clouds? What? Yes, we even had some rain today. No bitchin' here as the wind was down and the fish were up. Found lots of fish eating Salmonfly dries today, they probably would have eaten anything but we just fished big, hairy crap all day and had plenty of takers and lookers. Nothing big, but its hard to whine about cutties impaling themselves every few casts all day.
I was worried that id have to find a way to suspend a bugger off a dry, but alas it turns out a single dry does the job just fine when you throw it in the right spot. Saw plenty of bugs at Carbella down to POR, but they ate them all the way down to 26. Good numbers of PMD's, a few Green Drakes, and some caddis too.
