Lower Yellowstone today, fish eating Tricos and Mahoganies in the am, but we focused on the few eating buggers. Not a look on a hopper so ended up fishing a Royal Wulff with a size 18 pt dropper and ended up with a good day on dinks and few decent rainbows in the mix. Felt like the hottest day of the year out there today.
The Wulff thing was actually really fun and something different, kinda felt like I was on the Clark Fork most of the afternoon. I've probably fished that stretch of the river over 100 days and have never got fish to eat little dries like that down there. Most days, I would have stuck with the bobber but the whitey bite was just a little too right so thats where we ended up.
