Felt great to be on the water today and not sweating or worrying about getting a little red on the nose! Spits of sow this morning and a crisp northerly breeze...feels like fall has arrived. Wade fished today as the wind was blowing pretty steady and the folks wanted a short day. Nymphed alright on the upper for the most part with little bigs and stonefly nymphs...may or may not have done pretty well with a wire worm at times too. Amazing how different things feel compared to just a couple of days ago!
On the river the next few days and hoping for a streamer bite, I think a good BWO hatch would be wishful thinking at this stage.
