The yellerstone has been so good to me as of late that I decided a step back into reality was needed. Was thinking about the lower this morning, but with the hoot owl restrictions and the gay pride campout, we headed to the upper instead. Ruby to Varney aka the land of nothingness, but she showed us a few good fish and a bunch of dinks. I had the opportunity to work on my knot tying and untangling skills a few times as well.
The river has some water in it once again, temps are high 60's, some PMD and caddis around too. We nymphed a bunch of different rigs, best was a rubber leg with a PMD split case fished in the middle of the river. Got some here and there on little bug rigs, nothing on sculpins.
