It is cold as hell around here right now, maybe that's why the mind wonders more this time of year about places I'd rather be. I haven't caught a trout in a couple of weeks and it looks like awhile until that happens again anyway. Started reading a collection of shirt stories by Zane Grey…one of the original old school traveling angler badasses from way back in the day. Hard to believe that the fishy world looked so much different 100 years ago. The Tongue was good back then. Nowadays, it takes 30 hours of travel, $10+G, and countless hours of looking at Google Earth to find someplace that has likely not been harassed on a weekly/daily basis by other adventurous soles. 100 years ago, hell even 20 years ago, it was as close as the Missouri!
