Much better success today on the Bighorn, despite the low temps and a steady day of snow. One would think that there wouldn't be anyone else out on the water today, but there was a boat and a few other hearty souls walking around 3-Mile. With a high hovering around 12 or 13, it was a bit on the chilly side.
I opted for Tenkara as threatened over the last week or so. Easy on the hands and elbow, better on the warm factor. Pretty much fished like I would a traditional western rod,,,using a lightweight fly line, tapered leader, indicator, and standard Bighorn bugs. Fishing was not amazing, but it was good enough and pretty damn fun to be honest. The quiet of winter on a river with some buddies that are as full of shit as I am was just what the doc ordered.
