Two wintery feeling days in a row here in the Bozone…guess the rich folks up the hill got something like 20+" of fresh last night. Thankfully, my skis are put away, travels are over, and the water is good right now.
Was on the upper on Monday and had a good day that bordered on being great at times. Boat fishing kinda slow, wade-fishing deeper spots was good. Early spawners are seriously committed right now, so it's not too hard to find a gaggle of fish all congested up wherever there is some deep water below shallow stuff. Yes, you should avoid walking on clean gravel and maybe move on if you hook a bunch of dark, soggy trout. However, I will not judge you if you choose to stay in the same spot and beat the crap put of the fish…it's America baby! Embrace freedom and let the judgers judge…then give them the bird.
