It rained pretty hard last night for a couple of hours and the rivers have come up, but are still clear. The bite was definitely off today, however, as Peacocks were far and few between.
We did get on a few schools of Arwana though and managed to get a few to the boat. They are a weird fish with hardly a tail and swim more like a snake than a fish.  They eat a dry fly readily though, so it was cool to watch. Honestly, they followed the fly for a while, trying to figure out how to get it into their mouths. Their mouths are angled upwards and they did not seem to be well adjusted for eating what they wanted to!
Saw a ton of wildlife today including Cayman, Dolphins, and a pack of Otters. I think the otters were destroying one of the Arwana schools we had gotten on earlier. They were running across the sandbars chasing the crap out of fish and working hard. Tons and tons of birds in this place.
It is hotter than a humid hell though. One of the best parts of the day is moving in between spots for sure.

Thought of many things today, but mostly thought of nothing. Nothing on the mind is the perfect subject for me.
