The Missouri was as advertised...weedy and slow. Even had a nice 30 mph breeze today with an overnight flow reduction which made for a wonderful outing today. Got some fish both days but they were earned. I was reminded of why I like to avoid that river in August.
It's smokey as hell around here tonight, heard that Pine Creek Cafe burnt and that there is a fire over near the Yellowstone and that there is one somewhere near Butte as well. Might have to read the news at some point.
In other news, I hung out at Headhunters last night to watch Brian O'Keefe do a video showing of some clips from Catch Magazine. Very cool videos and the crowd was pretty chill too. Craig is an interesting little trout town. The world is flat.
