Ended up the last day with Pete yesterday on the lower Madison which was pretty epic early on. Fish were eating sculpins and little nymphs hard the first couple of hours. I was surprised at how hot the bigger fish were...backing runners. We were off by 1 and off to the Bighorn I went. Fished the horn today and it was good with Magogany risers in the morning and PMDers in the afternoon, plenty of nymphing in between. A TB hat trick was achieved courtesy of the gonga.  One other thing of note today was that we played around with 7'6" 4wt Orvis superfine glass rod which is new for next year. The skeptic in me was quieted as it was way fun on the dries.
